Governor of the province of Sindh, Pakistan, Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui has passed away, The Governor House has just confirmed his demise. He took oath on November 11, 2016, after replacing Mr. Ishrat ul Ibad, the longest serving provincial Governor in the history of Pakistan.
Mr. Siddiqui held important posts before his appointment as Governor Sindh and had close ties with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) that led to him being chosen to head the province. He had been in ill health since his appointment and was unable to serve his duties as Governor Sindh for much of his short tenure.
